Click on Title Lists
Click on Newspaper Source
Click the desired format for reading=
the
list (PDF, HTML, etc.)
This list includes the English
language foreign newspapers covered in Newspaper
Source. To ascertain these
titles follow these steps: Ct=

to open the FIND box; type internat=
ional
newspaper; hit Enter key. The 1st
title that is an international newspaper will be highlighted. To see other such titles, click

to search the NEWSPAPER SOURCE database
1. Determine all the parts of your to=
pic:
2. Click on Advanced Search.
3. Type the first part of your topic =
in the
first box (maybe use only one word such as Catholic
for the subject Catholic Church=
. Consider also using the truncation
symbol (*) at the end of a root word - Catholic*
for Catholic and Catholics).
Choose =
Default
Fields from the list of fields.
Type the second part o=
f your
topic in the second box (maybe use an abbreviation (US) and the full words (
Choose Default Fields from the list of fields.
Continue filling in the boxes until all parts of
your topic are listed
For fore=
ign
newspapers with common names (e.g., Star or News) it may help to list the
country of publication as an additional search term (choose Default Fields from the list of
fields).
4. If you want articles from only =
one
newspaper, go to the Journal box and fill in the name of the newspaper,
typing it the way it is shown in the Publications list.
To see how a newspape=
r is
listed in the Publications List, click on Publications (in green bar).
Type in the comple=
te
name of the newspaper in the "Browse-for" box, check Match AnyWords, click Browse.
Scan the list which c=
omes
up to verify (1) the title is there; and (2) how the title is shown (all ca=
ps,
with the initial article, etc.).
Click on Back until you are back at the Advanced
Search screen.
5. In the Date Published boxes, fill =
in the
desired months and years.
6. Scroll down to the box "Special Limiters for Newspaper Source."
In the Publication =
Type box
choose Newspaper (only if you have not listed a specific newspaper in the
Journal box above).
Fill in any other Special limiters that are
appropriate.
7. Click on SEARCH.
8. To see the abstract (summary) for =
every
record in the Result List, click on Preferences, then Detailed, then Save. The
abstract for each record will show in the Result List.
To= see the full record which includes all subject terms and geographic t= erms attached to the record, click on the title of the article.
To save a record for later printing, click on Ad=
d to
Folder. To see all items in t=
he
folder, click on Folder View.
9. To print a full record, click on F= ile, Print, OK.
To= print your added records, click on Folder View
