Assessment Instruments
Since October 15, 2003, the OAP has been expanding the assessment activities taking place at WSC for continuous improvement to meet and exceed NEASC accreditation expectations. In this regard, we have been involved with the systematic implementation and the development of student learning outcomes which encompasses cognitive, behavioral/performance, and attitudinal dimensions. All areas of college operations are included in the exercise to cover academic programs, administrative and educational support areas of the College. Although assessment has always been the core of its value for quality education, SLO at WSC began to receive greater attention in 2003, side-by-side with its program review efforts immediately after NEASC’s visit. Since that time, SLOs assessment has been pursued with great enthusiasm and vigor.
